About me

Hi!

I'm Ida, a mother of three beautiful daughters, born in 2012 and twins in 2015. My husband and I have been in a long-distance relationship pretty much always, separated by a mere 8500km 10 months a year.. I love traveling, but also enjoy a "normal" life at home. I'm a strong believer in the power of a positive attitude and that we're all entitled to be happy. I've always referred to myself as a perfectionist, but I'm slowly trying to outgrow the title.

I'm always up for a good laugh and try not to take life too seriously, situation comedy and self-irony are my good friends. :)

This blog is about everything and anything between the earth and the stars, whatever feels relevant to me at just the moment. Come along for the ride, I hope you'll enjoy it!

Defining happiness

His art may not be directly down my alley, but what I fell in love with was his definition of happiness: “Happiness is not ecstasy, and a lot of people get them muddled up. Happiness is sort of bumping along ok, having a drink on a Friday night, walking a dog, watching the TV with your family. That’s happiness. It’s not swimming with dolphins. So I’m happy.” I think he makes a great point. To be happy, your life doesn’t need to be overflowing with constant extreme experiences and excitement, it’s so much easier than that.
